Here is an easy wedding day checklist you can use to stay extra organised! We recommend checking the list twice or having a chief bridesmaid look over it. On the night before your wedding, you’ll want to have the following items packed and ready to go:
1. Kits for emergencies
Check out the online Wedding Emergency Kit to ensure you don’t forget anything! Especially plasters for this Jimmy Shoes! They are’t as comfortable as the adverts make out!
And a needle and thread is always handy just in case there are any wardrobe malfunctions. A pair of scissors won’t go amiss too!
2. Pay vendors in full & check in with them
It would be best if you gave someone the responsibility of delivering the checks to the vendors. There is always a reliable choice for a family member or friend. Make sure they are all ready to arrive at the time you have arranged and that they have the right date booked in.
As a Liverpool wedding photographer, Matthew Rycraft always calls his clients the week of the wedding to check the schedule and make sure no wedding plans have changed.
3. The wedding rings
Make sure the best man or maid of honor gets the rings. You can pack them yourself if you feel uncomfortable passing them off. And make sure they have had a full clean. Oh and have one final fitting test! Just try them on.
4. Itinerary for Day-Of
Consider printing your itinerary and make a digital copy to make it more convenient. Give this to your chief bridesmaid and best man along with any photo lists you have for your Liverpool wedding photographer.
5. Attire for your wedding & day after
Don’t forget your wedding attire! shoes, wedding dress, suit, veil, accessories and undergarments. For the groom, consider having a 2nd shirt to change halfway through. Especially if its going to be a summer wedding.
And a clean set of clothes for the day after, so you’re all fresh to celebrate being husband and wife.
6. Silence Your Phone
Get rid of checking Facebook and responding to frantic text messages. Put your device on silent mode or trust someone else to take care of it. And consider having an unplugged wedding making sure your guests aren’t the first to post your very first photograph as husband and wife.
Even turn it off the night before so you have no distractions making sure you get a great night sleep.

7. Take time to pamper yourself
Now is not the time to try that new face mask you’ve read about! Give yourself some time and headspace to relax with a lovely bath and products you know you can use.
8. Take care of your nails
Get that bridal manicure the day before making sure they are as fresh as possible! It would be nice if you could treat yourself to a luxury one where you receive a little hand massage and some moisturiser, so your hands are ready for the spotlight.
9. Professional Tan
If you want to get a little more colour for your wedding day, consider having a professional tan the week of the wedding. This helps let it settle down. Don’t do it yourself to avoid the patchy colouring and those awful discoloured patchy hands. And do go too dark, you don’t want to be a different colour than your wedding party.
10. Review your speeches and vows
You should read your wedding speech or vows again if you’re giving one. When you come to say them aloud on your big day, read them through a few times calmly and leisurely.
And if your wedding party have any readings, make sure you have them a copy and any songs you want playing throughout the day. Make 2 copies just in case or upload them to a cloud drive for instant access.
11. Stay hydrated
Ensure that you have a cool glass of water nearby and take the time to enjoy it. Keeping hydrated will prevent you from dehydrating from stress and running around. And also help avoid ending the wedding day with a hangover!
