Liverpool as a wedding location
It offers a wonderful juxtaposition of such a special day that you don’t get from a country estate or rural wedding venue.
For Lynsey & David Grace, a beautiful loving couple I had the pleasure of working with, they had a beautiful special guest feature in their wedding photos – the iconic city of Liverpool!
A day with laughs & love
I remember this wedding fondly and it was a day filled with lots of laughs and a group of people who couldn’t wait to pose and act in front of the camera. Creating a gallery of more than one thousand stunning images that the Grace family will forever look back on with a misty eye.
I was delighted, upon meeting Lynsey and David at the award winning Matthew Rycraft Photography near Liverpool, to hear that they had chosen 30 James Street in the city centre as their glamorous venue.
A stunning Liverpool wedding venue
30 James Street boasts the illustrious White Star Grand Hall, which comfortably sat the Grace party and their guests. This Liverpool wedding venue overlooks the world famous Three Graces, Albert Dock and the world famous River Mersey, it was a Liverpool photographer’s dream to be working with the Grace couple to mark their special day at 30 James Street.
It’s always a major help to be able to work alongside the venue and 30 James Street is no different. I had a great – and most importantly seamless! – time thanks to the wealth of experience the team had.
Stunning Liverpool wedding photographs
No request was too big or small for them and we managed to get a series of beautiful wedding images as a result. No less than the moment when the Grace’s wedding supplier White Vents set off an incredible thundering cannon of confetti as they walked into the room. I love it when a wedding goes off with a bang!
Looking back there are so many creative and cool images in the Grace’s wedding album. I know they were overjoyed upon receiving it. They were in no doubt they had hired the North West’s best wedding photographer.
Lots of natural wedding image on the day
I particularly like the emotional and raw images we took at the beginning of the day, when both the Bride and Groom took the opportunity to surprise each other with emotionally charged gifts.
The bride gave the groom a letter and card in the morning. The gift she left him was a stunning Breitling watch and he immediately broke down in tears before putting on the watch along with a set of embroidered onto his cufflinks.
A few fun moments too
In another shot one of Lynsey’s blushing flower-girls managed to sneak under the bride’s dress on the stairs of 30 James Street.
You can see the shot below and the sheer joy and frivolity in their faces – it’s always lovely to get beaming smiles on what is sometimes one of the most stressful days for a Bride!
30 James Street is very close to some of the most amazing Liverpool city centre architecture and following the more stressful ‘I Do’ part of the day, I took the newly married Mr & Mrs Grace out to the Strand in Liverpool to get some intimate sunny shots.
It’s a very busy road and everyone who was driving past was beeping their horns and saying congratulations! The couple loved this and I am sure it helped get them well into the party mood.
Amazing Liverpool architecture
One of the big requests from the Grace couple when we first met was a request to try and get lots of architectural shots of the three graces in their album, which I was only too happy to oblige!
You can see below a selection of the amazing Three Graces and the Liver Building, only this time they are all being shown up by the beautiful Mr & Mrs Grace! Speak to the 30 James Street wedding team should you like more info in this Liverpool wedding venue.
