If there’s one not listed here and you would like to see some wedding photographs, please get in touch or view our venue page.
With so many stunning wedding venues, just on our doorstep, I’d like to share some of my favourite Merseyside venues. As a Merseyside wedding photographer I am spoilt for choice.
Meols Hall
Based in the picturesque village of Churchtown, dates back to the 12th Century with its 400 year old restored Tithebarn. A rural treat, with lots of character and charm. Its a privilege to be one of only 2 dedicated wedding photographers at this fabulous Southport Wedding Venue. With fabulous grounds and the historic nature of the venue, its the perfect backdrop for any special event.
30 James Street
A Grade II listed building and has been resorted to its former glory as it was once home to the RMS Titanic and White Starline Headquarters. Owned and operated by Signature Living, they are creating a new wave of plush wedding venues in Liverpool. With grand interior design and fabulous opulence, attention to detail at every wedding is priority. Fabulous food, staff make your day that little more special. With enough rooms to allow all your guests stay over, this is one of the top venues in the area.
St Georges’ Hall
In the heart of Liverpool is a Grade II building and hosts the most stunning wedding ceremonies that every bridal couple could wish for. Most people don’t know they have the facility to host your ceremony and wedding breakfast at this venue. With amazing architecture inside and out and ability to cater for hundreds of guests, is has to be one of the largest wedding venues in Merseyside.
Hard Days Night Hotel
This four star Beatles Hotel is the perfect choice for all music lovers who want something different. This wedding venue is the only Beatles themed hotel in the world. Catering for around 140, its ideal for intimate weddings who wish to keep city central for the whole day whilst giving your guests the chance to stay overnight. The John Lennon Bridal Suite offers the most amazing views of the city day and night.
Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral
Known as ‘Paddy’s Wigwam” or the ‘Mersey Funnel’, due to its round structure, this Catholic Cathedral is the largest in England. Having your ceremony here isn’t easy but should you be lucky enough to know someone who can help, you’ll have a wedding your guests would talk about for years to come. The alternative here is to have your wedding ceremony in the crypt, which offers a unique opportunity in itself. But bear in mind, you’ll need to find a wedding breakfast venue, as they only offer wedding ceremony services here.
Knowsley Hall
In the heart of the Knowsley Estate this Grade II building is Merseyside’s only stately home. Regularly shooting here, I never get tired of the surroundings and always find something I didn’t see the week before. It’s hard to describe how beautiful this venue is, just view these wedding photographs and that will tell you all you need. Hosted by impeccable staff wanting to make your wedding day as special as it possible could be with food to die for. Being one of only 2 recommended wedding photographers here, this is one of my favourite venues in Merseyside.
Speke Hall
A rare Tudor Manor House based on the banks of the River Mersey. Surrounded by beautiful gardens this wedding venue is a haven away from normal life. Normally missed by most couples looking for somewhere to host their wedding. Having a marque on site allowing for wedding breakfasts, your whole day can now be hosted at Speke Hall.
Isla Gladstone
A Victorian Conservatory style wedding venue and one of North Liverpool’s hidden gem, situated in the heart of Stanley Park. You can say your ‘I Do’s’ al fresco style under their cast iron gazebo. Perfect! You don’t often see glasshouse’s giving you the chance to host a wedding, but this venue is dedicated for events and weekly hosts weddings. In summer this is a wedding venue to die for, especially if your ceremony is held on the bandstand.
