Sophie & Danny chose one of the most gorgeous Chruch’s in Liverpool to have their wedding ceremony, St Marys the Virgin, West Derby. Arriving at the brides house greeted by the girls from Tiger Make Up and Capaldi Hair and my old next door neighbour and good friend, I was made to feel right at home. Sophie looked beautiful in her wedding dress, accompanied by the most fabulous yellow roses as her wedding bouquet.
Founded in 1599, St Mary’s in West Derby is just glorious, having shot there lots of the years, the grandness of the church still still makes me get excited about shooting there every time. From walking down the isle to the alter, it would be difficult for any wedding photographer in Liverpool not to make this look fabulous. However I do know of some fabulous vantage points to make the most of the architecture.
We made the most of the fabulous weather at the church then headed to the Marriot in Liverpool City Centre, with a little stop off at the gardens behind St Georges Hall. The room for the wedding breakfast decorated with a purple theme and fabulous candelabra centre pieces, which was carried throughout to the evening, it was the prefect backdrop of their first dance. Which was finished off my a sunset wedding photograph.
Enjoy some of my favourite shots from their magical day:
