A reception venue in Wales was put to the test recently when a couple asked the staff to provide an Alice in Wonderland-style backdrop to their happy day.
The site in the north of the Gower Peninsula was converted into a magical land following the request from the loved-up couple, and the venue’s marketing manager, Shakira Obaid, said of the day:
“We had umbrellas hanging from the roof, giant cups, saucers and teapots, and buoys in the grounds.”
For those who are planning their special day, it’s this kind of imagination that makes it necessary to hire a professional wedding photographer. North West England certainly has a wide array of wedding venues, allowing couples to pick a location in keeping with their personal tastes that will come out brilliantly in the photographs.
The wedding venue noted that, in addition to the Alice in Wonderland setup, it had also seen requests for country, Asian and even Twilight-themed weddings in the past.
Today, nuptial proceedings do not always follow the traditional template they used to. Certainly, the traditional wedding in a classic venue may suit some, but other brides and grooms want their setting to either have a special meaning to their relationship, or perhaps be decorated in a way that reflects their personality as a couple.
There is no right or wrong way to host a wedding, as each ceremony and reception is special to the couple involved, though everyone should ensure it is documented by someone with experience.
