Wrexham couple Ian and Leah Jones are now an unlikely online sensation, with the couple’s entrance to their wedding seeing them both dance down the aisle to pop song Uptown Funk.
The childhood sweethearts had booked their Mexican holiday with their daughters Jessica and Macey, but discovered the resort had a penchant for weddings, so decided to take the plunge.
Given the spontaneity and geographical distance, family and friends were not around to witness the happy day, but they were being watched by many onlookers keen to take in the spectacle.
Leah said afterwards:
“I’m quite the exhibitionist and we’re a fun couple and wanted to do something different that stood out, with the element of surprise. We were treated like absolute celebs on the resort afterwards and the girls loved it, they felt like princesses.”
Wedding entrances have certainly been hitting the internet in recent years with many trending online, though if couples are planning an unusual introduction, they would be well served to hire a top wedding photographer from Cheshire or the surrounding area to skilfully capture the moment.
Some, however, may choose to go for the traditional walk down the aisle with more authentic wedding music, and they will also want this captured by a professional so that they can look back on their happy day for many years to come.
For this happy Welsh couple, it seems as though their joyful little routine has made them many new friends over in Mexico.
