A top US wedding planner named Fallon Carter has, in the latest edition of You and Your Wedding magazine, predicted 10 trends that she believes brides and grooms will be keen to get on board with on their special day.
These range from the traditional, such as the return of the veil, to the more unusual, like the upside down ‘chandelier cake’, which she says will be the talk of the wedding.
The wedding industry is massive in the US, and it is no surprise that many developments in planning on this side of the pond derive from our American neighbours. These often serve as a modern twist on the traditional setup, such as cocktail receptions instead of sit-down dinners, or even pies, cookies or other such delights instead of the signature wedding cake.
Potential grooms in the UK may be interested in aerial photography, using a helicopter to snap the wedding from above, although this may only be available to those organising something of a more extravagant celebration. Hiring a top wedding photographer from Liverpool will be more than enough to record that special day with style.
Personalising the wedding is a key touch however, and Fallon has suggested that temporary tattoos as wedding favours and branded invitations utilising social media will become the norm.
Whether traditional or modern, the style in which a couple choose to be marred will be personal to them and the memories of the happy day will be reflected upon in the many years that follow.
