Instagram has taken a slight turn towards the more whimsical with a service that transforms snapshots, uploaded onto the photo sharing site, into temporary tattoos.
As part of the new offering, Netherlands-based company Picattoo will send a pack of 12 pre-selected photos anywhere in the world, so people can enjoy their personal snaps in a more unique way.
The company says that the quality of the print is high, though it does depend on the standard of the photos themselves, so those who have arranged for professional wedding photography packages in the North West will be sure to have the quality of photo required to clearly show their tattoo.
The service requires users to access their accounts to select 12 photos, and these will then be sent out on special paper which, once transferred onto the skin, will last for up to a week. Instagram has previously been used in this offbeat manner with the launch of Boomf, which allowed individuals to place their own photos onto marshmallows.
Whether transferring personal memories of your wedding onto your arm or onto a piece of marshmallow, photo sharing sites like Instagram – and the raft of companies looking to utilise their services – can help celebrate and commemorate your special day in a unique way. Just be sure to use a professional wedding photographer for the quality that is required before presenting your freshly made tattoo, or sweet, to your friends and family.
