A fundraising page has been launched help give a man who rescued an infant from a toilet the wedding of his dreams.
Warren Chadwick, an employee of the arcade in Southport, hit the headlines when he found a baby, named April, after she was left in the disability toilet.
When April went missing, the alarm was raised and so ensued a search for her and her mother, who was later found to be safe although she did require some medical attention. This is where Warren stepped in:
He told the media:
“I wrapped her up, she was crying and I went to the front of the arcade and the police turned up very quickly. When I saw her tummy move and she was breathing, I was made up. I sat in the police car because it was warmer.”
The police later confirmed that baby April was fit and healthy, and to show their appreciation the people of Southport and beyond have started their campaign.
Originally it was planned to solely ask for donations for baby April, though given Warren’s efforts, others felt that contributions should be made to give Warren and his fiancé Steph the wedding they have always wanted, and it is hoped local businesses will get involved also.
A natural part of the perfect wedding will be to ensure there is a professional wedding photographer. North West England is noted for its generosity, so Warren and Steph will surely have a beautiful ceremony and reception.
