Jenny Buckleff certainly raised a few eyebrows when she turned up to her wedding with partner Christopher in a coffin, being pulled along by a motorcycle.
The eccentric 58-year-old only told her partner a few weeks prior to the wedding, though that’s more warning than her guests got, most of whom would have been surprised to see her being pulled along in a black casket.
Jenny said of the unusual entrance to her wedding in Wales:
“It’s definitely different. Instead of turning up in a horse-drawn cart, I thought I’m going to turn up in a coffin. The groom was a little shocked when I told him my plans, but he just went with the flow”
Behind Jenny’s eccentricity though lay a family bond with her brother, a motorcycle enthusiast, who was hoping to pull the coffin along but due to ill health was unable to do so. The location of Wales was also chosen to be near her brother Roger, with whom she holds such a close attachment.
An entrance like this is sure to raise a few eyebrows and if anyone more locally is looking to indulge in such an introduction they should be sure to hire a professional wedding photographer from North West England to capture the moment in its full splendour.
For Jenny and Christopher though, they were happy that their special day had such a unique talking point, even if some of the gusts were initially a little alarmed.
