Liverpool’s unusual wedding venues
The Liverpool Echo recently reported on the city’s quirkiest wedding venues, after the government published its list of approved places for ceremonies to be conducted.
A professional wedding photographer from Liverpool is certainly aware of all the weird and wonderful places that the happy day can be celebrated, but for those planning their nuptials, the list may serve as some much needed inspiration.
The Citys History plays a big part
With the Fab Four playing a prominent part in the city’s history, it’s not too surprising that people want to celebrate the famous band, with couples able to have their wedding conducted at the Beatles Story on Albert Dock and the Hard Day’s Night Hotel on North John Street.
The representative from the Beatles Story, Martin King, said:
“We decided to organise a licence for weddings after receiving a few requests and it does seem more popular now to get married somewhere a bit different.”
For sports fans
For sports fans, registered places include Everton and Liverpool football grounds, as well as Liverpool Cricket Club.
Food lovers will also be well catered for, with Indian restaurant East Z East holding a licence and, if couples have a particular fondness for the sea, then they should look no further than the Merseyside Maritime Museum.
The wide range of hotels on offer seems to reflect what Martin King noted above – that many people are today looking for something a little different in their choice of venue.
Potential brides and grooms often feel that the venue reflects who they are as people, and with this list of venues, there is plenty to choose from.
