Liverpool wedding reception at 30 James Street
A spring wedding in March was just what Laura and Andy had planned for, with reception celebrations held at 30 James Street, Liverpool.
I asked how they both felt during the morning preparations, Laura said, "I woke up really early as I couldn't contain my excitement. With every moment that passed my excitement seemed to grow. After planning our wedding for 18 months I couldn't believe that the day was finally here! It was only when I was on my way to the church that the nerves started to set in, but these quickly disappeared as I started to walk down the aisle towards Andy ".
Andy replied, "I was feeling excited, Laura and I have been together for 13 years and I was excited for us to be married. Laura sent me a wedding gift of a watch and cufflinks on the morning of the wedding. She had the watch engraved with 'Our Wedding Day 24/03/17' ".
Morning with the bride
With everyone getting ready at Laura’s parents house, Laura’s hairdresser, Tanya came to pamper the bride and Peaches and Cream provided the bridal make-up from their well known Liverpool Shop. Laura’s stunning dress, veil and tiara, were from Bride Childwall and the gorgeous bridesmaids dresses were from the amazing Kirsty Doyle. Jessica Bennet Bespoke supplied the flower girl dresses which were Ivory to match the stunning Bride. The Groomsmen wore suits from Attire.
Wedding flowers
Joesph Massie arranged all the wedding day flowers. The bridal bouquet was filled with white roses, white ranunculus and white lisianthus. It also had textures foliages including eucalyptus, senecio and dusty miller. The bouquet was hand tied with ivory ribbon.
The bridesmaids and flower girls had bouquets filled with the same flowers but on a smaller scale. The youngest flower hid Holly had a flower wand that featured a white rose and ivory ribbons. The button holes used for the groom, best man, usher and father of the bride, included a white rose and smaller flowers surrounding the rose.
Amazing Liverpool wedding suppliers
Barringtons Cars supplied ivory and black 1930’s style cars and got Laura and her entourage to the church on time. Red Events created all the table decorations and dressed the venue. The centre pieces were large martini glasses which were filled with an assortment of ivory flowers. They had crystals handing from the vases and small glass baubles which featured a tealight. Scattered crystals and crystal candle holders were placed at the base of the vases.
A quote form the married couple
I asked them which were their most memorable moments of their fabulous Liverpool Wedding. Laura said, “for me it was the ceremony itself. Throughout all the planning I had always envisaged how each part of the day would go but I had never thought in detail about the church service. Joe (the Deacon) was so amazing and gave us such a special service. So many of our guests also commented that they had never attended such a fun and personal church ceremony before. “
During the evening, “I loved going out for our sunset wedding photographs. It was so much fun going out on our own with Matt and having people in passing cars shouting their congratulations to us.” Andy favourite moment was “our first dance. We also had the same song played as our last dance of the night which was a fitting end to a perfect day.”
“Matt was amazing to work with, he knew exactly what we wanted and worked so hard to give us what we wanted! The look on Matt’s face when he got the shot he wanted was priceless, his excitement for the pictures he was taking made me feel really excited to see our Liverpool wedding photographs. “
30 James Street
In their owns words here’s why they recommend their wedding venue, 30 James Street…
“We were lucky enough to work with some amazing suppliers. The team at 30 James Street were incredible and greeted us like friends each time we met rather than just another couple booking their wedding. The food and service at James Street was second to none.
We were lucky enough to take advantage of the roof terrace at Carpathia which gave our guests amazing views of the city whilst enjoying their drinks before the reception. It really is the perfect Liverpool wedding venue.”
