First wedding after the third covid lockdown
One of the first weddings I had photographed in Liverpool after the Covid lockdowns in 2021, Amy & Ben chose this wonder Liverpool wedding venue to celebrate their wedding reception. It was fabulous to be back out shooting and what a wedding to start with.
The very best wedding day
Ben & Amy held nothing back to make their wedding day the best it could be, with singing waiters, an amazing church, a marquee reception and a sunset to finish their wedding day.
The wedding morning
I started the morning with Ben and the boys, with groom coverage, something I always recommend my clients add on to their booking. His dad was there, helping Ben get ready with his pocket watch, this was a great sentimental moment to capture.
Off to the see the girls
After spending some time with the lads I travelled to see Amy and her entourage. Getting ready at home, such a beautiful house, the front room was the perfect setting for the wedding dress and for the Bride to get ready in.
We had some beautiful light entering the room and with closing the blinds I was able to soften the light out, then. create some stunning silhouette shots, which are some of Amys’ favourite shots from the day.
Father seeing the bride for the first time
One of the most important shots to capture is when the brides father sees his daughter for the first time. With the day being so sunny, I thought it was a great idea to set the shot up in the back garden allowing me to have the space to get that perfect reaction. Which dad created with such love.
Amazing Church in Liverpool
Their chosen church was St Mary’s Woolton, Church Road, a church I have photographed at many times, so know it well. It’s a wonderful church with a fabulous archway entrance which creates the perfect framing as dad leads her daughter to see the groom for the first time.
Ben, the groom, didn’t fail to get all emotional allowing me to capture some sentimental wedding photographs of him with a tear in his eye.
The church grounds perfect for wedding photographs
Once the ceremony was over, as the church grounds are lovely and the day was greeted with sunshine. We made the most of the location and captured some fabulous wedding photographs of the happy couple around the St Mary’s.
New Liverpool wedding venue
We then headed to a fabulous Liverpool wedding venue in Aigburth, Liverpool Cricket Club. A Liverpool wedding I haven’t been at before but is one I would love to go back to.
A game of Cricket at the wedding venue
There was a cricket game in motion, as Amy is up for a laugh. She decided, as it’s her wedding day of course, to convince the team to loan her a hat and Cricket Bat. I have to say these were some of my favourite images if the day. It was so funny.
The wedding breakfast
It was time for food and after they seated me, which was so kind of them, the wedding breakfast was amazing by the way. During the 3 courses, the singing waiters were in performance. Now there are a few different styles of wedding singing waiters and these guys take it to the edge.
After all the food is served, they start their gig with an employee bust up heading straight into their first song. So you can imagine the crowds reaction. Shouting screaming, standing on chairs, jumping around, it bedlam… But absolutely amazing!
Wedding conga
Ending with the conga… The singing waiters perform around 8-10 songs and end with a bang. I can’t think of a better way to get the evening party rocking.
Ending the day with sunset wedding photographs
We headed out for a few more wedding photographs as the sun was setting, so I managed to get the golden hour and that stunning colouring for the wedding photos. Ending with some stunning shots with the sun crossing the horizon.
Liverpool Cricket Club, a great wedding venue in the city
I have to say this Liverpool wedding venue, Liverpool Cricket Club was so accommodating to everyone and I can’t wait to attend an event there again.
