Covid wedding restrictions are now lifted 2021 here's the dates
It's been quite a year and our hearts go out to our bride and grooms who have had to change their dates, but now the Covid wedding restrictions have been lifted for 2021, we can now get ready to party!
Here's the dates we have all been waiting for.
Englands Covid wedding restrictions lifted
Here at Matthew Rycraft Photography we are so delighted that our wedding industry is getting back to normal, with the lifting of the long awaited Covid-19 wedding restrictions. As a Liverpool wedding photographer it’s been disappointing that I have not been able to photograph weddings for close to 12 months now, and visit all the amazing wedding venues Liverpool has to offer. But we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
When can weddings take place again in the UK?
It was announced in February 2021 that from the 21st June weddings will no longer have any restrictions in place, meaning we can party till our hearts content with all our friends and families, just like before this pandemic took control of the world. But no doubt there will be some Covid wedding guidelines that will have to be met to still keep everyone safe. Below I run through the timeline of how wedding restrictions will be lifted.
Dates & timeline for UK wedding restrictions to be lifted:
A tiered system has been issued for the lifting of the wedding restrictions, no doubt to avoid the pandemic getting out of control again. The dates have been criticised by many, but for me it’s a great start and we now have something to guide us. And to allow couples to start planning their wedding day again.
29th March x6 Guests
12th April x15 Guests
17th May x30 Guests
21st June No Restrictions
These are dates and guides set by the UK government, subject to change no doubt.
Most North West wedding venues are opening their doors again from the 12th April allowing lucky couples to attend show round appointments, so everyone can get their wedding day back on track. So it’s good time to get in touch with your venue to see when they will allow you to have another look round, or even book your wedding date.
Looking forward to Covid safe weddings in 2021
As mentioned previously, no doubt there will be Covid safe wedding measures in place to help avoid another pandemic disaster like we have in 2020. Of course we all want to keep the wedding venues doors open and get our weddings industry back to normal in 2021. So I do feel is very important we all adhere to any covid wedding guidelines that are put in place by the government or venues, so we can make sure that all our bride and grooms can have their special day in 2021 and beyond without any more delays or cancellations.
