A Chinese Style Cheshire Wedding at Capesthorne Hall
Set in the heart of Cheshire with 100 acres of parkland, 3 lakes, a beautiful red brick bridge and much more. Capesthorne Hall welcomes you with its stunning surroundings and elegant interiors. With its stunning location, this Jacobean stately home has been in the Bromley-Davenports family since 1726. It is where Joanne and David chose to hold their summer wedding this August.
A calm bride
Their day was perfect and went smoothly. Joanne was fairly calm, but also excited as any bride would be the morning of her wedding. David however, felt nervous, but still excited for the day ahead. With their maid of honour and best man at their sides helping them get ready, they soon felt the butterflies of excitement subsiding.
With the amount of organising that goes into creating the perfect wedding, Joanne chose Joe Petrillo for her Bridal Hair, Emmalene Sophia for her Bridal Make-up and as for her all the accessories, Jo found Shoes from Elegant Steps, her veil from Dream Veils and her stunning headpiece from Rocks for Frocks.

David’s very dapper suits were from Slaters – look how handsome he is.
Chinese culture within the wedding
They wanted to introduce the Chinese culture into their wedding as it made it more memorable and special. So keeping with family traditions, Jo & David chose Vivi Venue’s for their table decorations, their wedding cake from Cakes with a K and Laurel Weddings for their wedding florist. During the evening the atmosphere was set beautifully by a Pianist -Liz Hendry.
I asked Jo & David what was their most memorable part of their day and they said ‘ saying their vows to each other in front of all their closest friends and family was amazing’. In the evening they loved partying away to Funk Soul Family and having fun photos taken in the Photo Booth – which everyone enjoyed.
Jo & David said their wedding was a dream come true… “From the moment we visited Capesthorne Hall for the first time, we instantly fell in love with the whole place and its surroundings. The hall is beautiful, each room in the hall has so much character and the grounds are remarkably well kept. We could easily relive the whole day again as we didn’t want it to end.”
I must say I have to agree with them as the surrounding to Capesthorne Hall is a wedding photographers dream too. I love to capture couples special moments, making them memorable and with the backdrop scenery that the venue has to offer, I was in my element.
