The couple wanted a late-season wedding right in the start of autumn. Just as the green trees turn to a beautiful shade of orange, this Liverpool wedding venue, Knowsley Hall is the perfect backdrop.
Take a read of their wedding story and head to the bottom to see the full collection of wedding photography at Knowsley Hall.
Arriving at Knowsley Hall
Arriving at the wedding venue Hayleigh was right in the middle of having her make up touched up, with her five bridesmaids and flower girls. And of course not to miss mum out. There were real tears of joy and lots of hugs when Ashleigh presented each of her bridesmaids and mum with specially written personalised card, and a present.
We made the decision during our consultation that she wanted to surprise the bridesmaid with the wedding dress. So her mum helped the bride get ready, we then created a beautiful reveal for all the girls to see. Which was followed by a reveal to her dad.
The Stately home staircase
One of the main reasons why this Liverpool wedding venue was so popular is the beautiful grand staircase. An absolute must shot when photographing at Knowsley Hall. One of my favourite shots when daddy is walking the bride down the stairs, I have my assistant fan the wedding dress out so we get to see all the beautiful detail.
Their wedding ceremony.
Plenty of tears and laughter, the ceremony was lovely. Hayleigh shed a tear at the end of the aisle after her dad walked her down. With a reading from a very special friend it was the perfect start.
Group and family photos
Even though the weather in October should be dry, you can never tell in the UK. Though October can be unusual, as historically I’ve seen a really good one or two week heat wave during this month. So luck really needs to be on your side when choosing to have your wedding later on in the season.
But on this wedding day we really did have some good luck. The beautiful couple could get their family photos. As well as the big group shop on the stairs with the stately home in the background. We tend to do this straight after the ceremony as it keep things moving really smoothly.
A walk around the Knowsley Hall Estate
I always tend to do the group pictures straight after the ceremony too. It’s the perfect time because after the group and confetti photograph everyone is together. I’ll take the bride and groom to the entrance of the grounds where we’ll have the confetti shot. I’ll then took them for a nice walk around the grounds.
Mingling
After a fabulous photo session around the estate, it was time for the bride and groom to mingle with the guests. With lots of love in the air everyone was so delighted to be at this wedding and there was plenty of smiles to be photographed. I have a great wedding article about how you keep your wedding guests entertained.
Food and Speeches
Dylan did a fabulous job during his grooms wedding speech and so did the rest of the wedding party. Lots of laughs with the perfect delivery. And as usual Knowsley Hall did a fabulous job of the wedding food.
The evening finished with a Cigar wedding photograph
As usual at this stately home after the wedding breakfast, the guests are treated with a fire lit room at the back of the venue. Allowing the food to settle in stunning surroundings.
Due to it being an October wedding the Sun has set early enough for Dylan to have his cigar wedding photograph. A wedding photograph I have done numerous times at Liverpool weddings. One I started many years ago and he’s very popular now with all my couples.
We gathered all his wedding party to the front of the venue and I worked my magic with my skills with flash wedding photography.
Once I had edited all the wedding pictures the couple had hundreds of wedding photographs to go through. They were so delighted with the results, as you can see from this wedding blog.
