Your wedding budget and you
Your special day requires time, commitment and alas a big budget in order for it to be the very best.
A lot of money will be spent. And every single penny goes to making for a magical day. From the tailored wedding dress to the groomsmen’s three piece suits. From the gorgeous smelling bouquets to the delectable wedding breakfast, every penny is worth it.
And most importantly it’s important you set aside a budget for the very best Liverpool wedding photographer.
What to look out for
When hiring a Liverpool wedding photographer, you want the final results to be perfect. After all, these memories will be forever frozen in time.
You will get a wedding album of images that represent a moment in the life of you and your partner at a time that is undoubtedly the most intimate and loving moment you’ll share.
Never has this been truer than when choosing a wedding photographer. After all you can only create your wedding photos once!
This is why it is vital you choose a wedding photographer not for their price and affordability but for their skill, talent, time and effort.

Don’t doubt yourself
Its unavoidable in my line of work as the best Wedding Photographer in the North West to hear from a lot of couples who only have a small budget left for their photography.
These couples will have splashed the cash on lots of other wonderful and well deserved things, put unfortunately forgotten how important good photography is.
So this is where we turn our attention to the elephant in the room. Price.
What does it really cost?
Is it really that easy to work out the best and worst wedding photographers from what they charge? Well in a word, yes,
Always check what you are going to get for your money.
Under £500
Instagram photographers who offer you a wedding photography package under £500 are completely and without exception amateur photographers. For this figure you are hiring a hobbyist who takes snaps in their spare time, has other work commitments and may not have anywhere near the right level of equipment.
£500 to £1000
If you’re offered photography pricing around £500-£1000 then you may get a semi-pro. Their time is a little better spent but this will not be their profession. They will have better equipment but not necessarily the skill. Images will take longer to receive and communication tends to be poor. They may be in it for the extra money not the love of wedding photography.
Around £1000 to £1500
Over £1000 and below £1500 is when you finally start to work with a professional wedding photographer. They should have a refined style maybe a few signature images.
However this is still considered on the medium budget range and I would always encourage you to question what you will get in return. And how long images take to be sent to you, meetings and quality of images delivered. This may still not be their full time career, so focus my not be totally on their wedding photography career.
Their portfolio of images on the wedding day may also not be consistently to a high standard throughout the whole set.
£2000 and above
When you invest this kind of budget you should be expecting a full time professional North West Wedding Photographer. Like Matthew Rycraft.
You should expect a refined style of wedding photography, a style synonyms to them, and be noticeable. They’ll have industry awards, have been featured in magazines and work which is outstanding.

You’ll not just be paying for the quality of work but also their experience, knowledge, relationships with venues and suppliers. This all makes your day go smoothly and give you peace of mind.
Making that big decision
While you may have a professional on hand, will they spend time getting to know you and your partner? Will they be there for the entire ceremony and candid moments? Is their knowledge unrivalled? Are they considerate?
The answer to all those questions may not be a yes.
That’s why many couples understand the need to go for an experienced award winning Liverpool wedding photographer. Just like Matthew Rycraft.
