The happy couple’s unique day was first reported by Africa Gossip News, but the story was picked up over in the UK as well.
Whilst the groom wore a Liverpool Football Club replica top at the ceremony, his blushing bride went for the classic white gown, which perhaps showed that while themes may change, the established nuptial attire is always an attractive option for couples today. She did, however, make a concession by having a red flower tied into her hair.
The theme did not stop at the wedding party’s clothes, as the couple’s mode of transport was a Rolls Royce dropping them off right outside the Liverpool Stands with red ribbon.
Such a meticulously planned event will surely have included the hiring of a top wedding photographer from Liverpool or the surrounding area. Myself, Matt Rycraft.
Though not taken at this Liverpool wedding, if it had rained I would have got out my red umbrella. Which would have been perfect for their wedding.
Whilst having such a ceremony may not appeal to all, it does reflect a growing trend within the wedding industry. Today, many people feel comfortable in deviating from the traditional style for wedding occasions and hosting a day that more fits their own sense of fashion or interests.
It is not known where the couple went for their honeymoon, although a Liverpool fixture was probably not off the table.
