Wedding Venue Profile: Knowsley Hall
Knowsley Hall is one of the finest wedding venues in the North West, and a favourite with many a professional wedding photographer in Liverpool – including, of course, Matthew Rycraft Photography. Here’s a rundown of all you need to know about this prestigious venue:
The Knowsley Hall estate
Knowsley Hall is positioned within a private estate totalling 2,500 acres. This stately home on its spacious walled site first greeted visitors in 1495, and in its time so far has seen some highly distinguished guests – including royalty.
After passing through the magnificent entrance gates, guests can admire the landscaped gardens, lakes and outdoor terraces. Within, this magical venue also boasts a range of opulent rooms and spaces to use on your big day. Inside and out, it makes the perfect backdrop for your wedding album.
The exclusive use venue
A major highlight of booking Knowsley Hall is that the entire estate is reserved for your exclusive use. This gives your ceremony and reception an upmarket feel – and there’s no chance of bumping into another bridal party. Your expert photographer is therefore free to concentrate on capturing the perfect shots, without worrying about people in the background or waiting around.
The spaces
The 18th-Century Stucco Ballroom is Knowsley Hall’s most popular ceremony venue, where couples can exchange their vows in front of up to 132 guests. From the stunning, handcrafted gold leaf detailing to the original fireplace, this spacious yet intimate room is unashamedly romantic.
Knowsley Hall also has plenty of other inside and outside spaces for guests to enjoy, including the grand oak panelled entrance hall.
There are dedicated parking areas – well away from where you may wish to be photographed – and 16 en suite rooms designed by the Countess of Derby, all adding up to an outstanding level of service
Despite the splendour, Knowsley Hall offers all who visit a genuinely warm welcome, ensuring all guests feel relaxed rather than intimidated. Thanks to the care and attention of the dedicated wedding team, your day is also guaranteed to go seamlessly.
The aim is always to exceed expectations, ensuring everyone present is charmed and captivated by the time they depart. The experienced staff are always on hand to assist with enquiries, and are always just a call or email away.
A sumptuous feast
The wedding breakfast is always one of the most memorable parts of the day, and all menus are tailor-made by experienced, expert chefs. To ensure Knowsley Hall’s rigorously high standards are always met, the Earl and Countess of Derby always taste each dish before it is added to the menu, and this is only done once they have given it their seal of approval.
In advance of your wedding day, the chefs are always willing to discuss menus with couples to make sure everyone enjoys the most delicious meal possible.
The all-inclusive venue
Knowsley Hall offers a range of all-inclusive wedding packages. This ensures that all couples booking there experience no hidden fees or unexpected costs. As the venue is booked on an exclusive use basis, the number of wedding hosted per year is also extremely strictly limited, so do book early if you’d like to get married at one of the North West’s best wedding venues.
