How to feel comfortable when being photographed on wedding day
As we well know at Matthew Rycraft Photography, not everyone likes having their picture taken.
If you’re a little camera shy, how can you make sure you’ll feel comfortable while your Liverpool wedding photographer captures the best shots?
Booking a pre-wedding shoot can be a great way to familiarise yourself with being photographed. As these can take place at a location of your choice, you can use this opportunity to get used to having a lens pointed at you. Also known as engagement shoots, these can take place any time.
Not only does a pre-wedding shoot help to calm those nerves, it also provides you both with an entirely different set of images to treasure. If you like, you can even use these for your save the date cards or guestbook too.
You can order a pre-wedding photograph album, as well as one of our bespoke signature photo frames. We get guests to sign this, so you can display it proudly within your home as a lasting and deeply special memento of the time before you tied the knot.
Having an engagement shoot helps to break the ice between you and your photographer, but it’s not the only way to prepare for the big day. Meeting your photographer at the studio beforehand can also help you feel more comfortable.
If you prefer, you can ask for the focus to be more on candid shots than posed pictures. You could also practice by taking shots of each other – this might also help you decide which style of photography you prefer.
