How to keep wedding guests entertained in Liverpool
Once you’ve secured that must-have venue, found the dress and booked the best Liverpool wedding videographer, your thoughts may turn to the guest list.
If people are travelling from afar to attend your wedding, then you may wonder what to recommend they see and do during their stay.
Here at Matthew Rycraft Photography, we’ve made some suggestions:
The Beatles Story
This North Western city was the birthplace of the biggest band ever, making The Beatles Story a must. An interactive and immersive experience is based at the Royal Albert Dock, it includes recreations of The Cavern and Mathew Street.
Ferry ‘cross the Mersey
Moving on to another piece of pop history – and across the water. The journey across the River gives great views of the city, while Gerry and the Pacemakers’ best-known track is played, of course.
Sefton Park
If you hanker after a bit of green space, then don’t miss Sefton Park. It’s worth the short trip to the 250-acre site just to see the Victorian Palm House, and kids can let off steam at the adventure playground.
Two cathedrals
Liverpool is home to twin cathedrals – the Anglican Liverpool Cathedral and the Catholic Metropolitan. They’re close to the city centre and universities, and are well worth a look.
Shop ’til you drop
Whether you prefer independent, quirky boutiques or goods with that all-important designer label, Liverpool has plenty to offer fans of retail therapy. Head for Bold Street’s creative, innovative stores for one-off finds, or browse Liverpool ONE’s huge range of smart stores.
