1. Croxteth Hall and Country Park
Croxeth Hall is a magnificent stately home built in Edwardian times, occupying a nature reserve of 500 acres in central Croxteth. The Earl of Sefton’s former home is just 20 minutes from central Liverpool, and couples have a range of opulent rooms to choose from, which vary in size. Venues include Sir Richard’s Room, the Library, Old Dining Room and the Queen Anne Suite.
2. Knowsley Hall
Knowsley Hall is situated within a 2,500 acre estate in Prescot, and dates from 1495. Couples have exclusive use of any combination of the Hall’s rooms, including drawing rooms, a library, and the stunning ballroom. This venue can cater for up to 144 day guests, increasing to 200 in the evening.
3. Leasowe Castle
The Wirral’s only castle, Leasowe boasts both a beautiful position and breathtaking sea views. Inside, there are five venues to choose from, including The Keep, a romantic chapel in the heart of the castle, the cosy Star Chamber and the Castle Suite. The venue can cater for weddings of up to 250 guests.
4. Speke Hall
Operated by the National Trust, Speke Hall is a black and white timbered Tudor-style mansion located close to Liverpool airport. The venue’s Tudor Great Hall can seat up to 200, and couples also have the option of booking the large outdoor Marquee Pavilion.
