Singer John Legend recently delighted one happy couple, along with their wedding guests, by performing his hit track ‘All of Me’ at the pair’s wedding for their first dance.
Newlywed Sridhar and Sunitha Reddy’s reception took place at the Hyatt Regency in Huntington Beach, California, with the star performing as they took their first steps together as a married couple.
However, the Grammy Award-winner has had previous experience of performing this song during wedding celebrations, having once conducted one himself with his wife for their bulldog’s Pippa and Puddy. This rather eccentric act was all in the name of Legend’s charitable endeavours through the Show Me Campaign, which aims to provide quality education to disadvantaged children in order to help reduce poverty levels in the US.
It was here that the singer offered his services as a wedding singer in exchange for a donation, although it is not known if that is why he was performing at this specific ceremony.
Whatever the reason, it certainly led to some great videos that can be seen online, and surely would have made for unique wedding photos. Manchester itself boasts some of Britain’s finest popstars, so if any future brides and grooms planning a wedding have a little bit extra to spend, perhaps they too can take inspiration from the Reddy’s and hire an A-lister.
In fact, popstar’s singing at weddings is not a new thing for Britain, with Gary Barlow having performed for some lucky fans only recently.
