Pop singer Taylor Swift’s mother picked out newly married couple Katy and Chris Eisenmann from the crowd at one of her recent gigs, to party backstage with the singer on the night of their wedding.
The happy couple, from Philadelphia, were married near the concert venue where Swift was performing her 1989 show, and had planned to attend to keep things low key.
The couple, however, had posted a photo on Instagram of themselves and tagged the pop star. The keen eye of her mother, Andrea, led to them being recognised. It was to be the start of a night they will never forget.
The couple will certainly always treasure their unusual wedding night, as well as their wedding photos. Manchester is itself steeped in musical tradition, so perhaps people closer to home will take a leaf out of Chris and Katy’s book and forego the traditional wedding party and attend a gig instead.
The singer, who recently gave $15,000 to a firefighter who saved his own son and wife from a horrific car crash, wrote:
“Katy and Chris, may we always remember this day.”
She was also kind enough to give the couple their ‘something blue’ in the form of a signed poster, completing the day that Kay described as being like a dream.
For those interested in seeing the happy couple’s photos from both before the show and after with the ‘Shake it off’ singer, they can do so by checking out Instagram or looking at the Daily Mirror website.
