Fans of the Monarchy will surely be excited soon, as pieces of cake from various regal weddings will be auctioned off later this month in the Beverly Hills area of California.
In total, there are five slices on show, though the item that is likely to be the most sought after is the slice from Charles and Diana’s wedding, which experts believe will reach up to £1,300.
The fruit cake from Charles’ second wedding, to Camilla, could go at a lower price, with a figure of £390 considered to be its value.
There are also pieces from Princess Anne’s wedding to Captain Mark Phillips, as well as Prince Andrew’s to Sarah Ferguson. These are expected to fetch similar amounts to that of Charles and Camilla’s cake, with a piece from Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding predicted to be slightly more.
Although people may not be able to have all the luxuries of a Royal wedding, they should ensure the fundamentals of their special day are in place, such as a top wedding photographer. Manchester may be far away from Beverly Hills, but if readers want to see the cakes on display they only have make their way down to London to see them on show at the Stafford London.
Darren Julien, from Julien’s Actions, said of the items on display:
“The Stafford London’s location is ideal for Royal fans and this celebration of Royal Wedding Cakes through the years highlights the everlasting design of each cake, inspired by the bride and groom and period of each wedding.”
