4 wedding trends can we expect for 2021
Here at Matthew Rycraft Photography, we’re not surprised to see some of our clients postponing their nuptials until 2021, so we’re wondering what 2021 wedding trends to expect for weddings that take place this year. Here’s a brief rundown of some key trends.
1. Loving local
There has already been a growing trend for buying locally sourced produce, and the coronavirus pandemic is likely to encourage even more people to shop locally where they can. From the decor, flowers and wedding breakfast to your local Liverpool wedding photographer, couples will probably wish to support small businesses in their area.
2. Sincere sentiments
In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, weddings are likely to be packed with even more meaning than before, as both hosts and guests reflect on recent global events and show their gratitude for being at last able to celebrate with friends and family. Personal touches could include individual messages or gifts – like handmade iced biscuits displaying a heartfelt sentiment – at each place setting.
3. Sustainability
2021 is likely to see growth in an already increasing trend towards focusing on sustainability. In the past, weddings have not always been environmentally friendly, but this is changing rapidly. There are some clever ideas out there to use, such as choosing your venue carefully, so the natural surroundings require little in the way of lavish decoration.
